Haim was born in 1941 during the British Mandate, to his parents Panina and Gabi (Gabriel) Adler. They lived in a four-room apartment with three other families - a room for each family. The shower and kitchen are shared by everyone. They lived in this apartment for six years during the British Mandate. From time to time there was a curfew on the part of the British and British soldiers or as they were called "Antlers" patrolled the streets. As a little boy, the soldiers loved him and let him walk around and looked after him. The neighbors took advantage of this and sent him shopping at the nearest grocery store. His father had trouble finding work, so his mother had to support the family as a singer and drummer in a women's band that played in a "corner" cafe for the entertainment of British officers. Later, his father was accepted to work in Tnuva as the manager of the fish department. After six years, his brother Shimon was born and at that time they moved into one of the apartments that were abandoned by the Arabs during the war for the liberation of Haifa. There they lived together with the family of Zvi, (Penina's brother), his wife Arana and their three children. Bullets were flying in the streets and there were rooms in the apartment that were dangerous to enter for fear of a stray bullet penetrating. When the war ended, the Arabs were seen fleeing the country and as a child he witnessed the ugly looting of Arab homes by the Jews. When he started studying in first grade a year before the war of liberation, the school was sometimes used to receive applicants who were smuggled from the ships to the coast under the cover of darkness and housed in classrooms. When the students arrived at school in the morning, they would study on the roof. In the second grade, in May 1948, with the UN resolution on the establishment of the State of Israel and the end of the British mandate, while sitting on the school balcony, dozens of British planes were seen leaving the country. Crowds danced in the streets and cheered with great joy. While in the sixth grade, he was accepted into the Haifa Youth Orchestra, studied Play the trumpet and participate in parades and celebrations of the municipality of Haifa. In the 8th grade, his parents moved to Tivon, where he was immediately accepted into the youth orchestra and had the opportunity to play the trumpet for the president's cheer upon the arrival of President Chaim Weizmann to visit Tivon.

As the transition to high school approached, Gamal made a decision in his heart and also convinced his parents to study at an agricultural high school. Haim was accepted to a young school that is in its second year - second year of Kfar Galim. In the twelfth grade he went with a group from the school for a year of practical work and studies at Givat Haim Ihud, where he became involved in the dairy industry. In 1959, he arrived with the "Lahat" unit in Tsera, and from there they enlisted in the Parachute Army. The unit spent the late SLA period in training at Kibbutz Geva. At the end of his military service in 1961, he made his home in Tsara with other core members. He is one of the founders and singers of the legendary local band "The Leper" which performed at all cultural events in Leper. In 1963 he married Ilana and they had Limor, Yaron and Amir. After 24 years of marriage they separated. Years of work in Asara During his years in Asara, he had time to work in a barn, in a barn, in orchards and in the packing house in Zakaria. In 1967, he was asked by the secretary of the kibbutz and the principal of the school to help move livestock to a new location (it was until it finally closed). Haim built the fences, the cages and the pen that was built for the goats - all with the help of the school children. At the same time they grew an area of vegetables. From here he moved to maintaining apartments and a locksmith's shop alongside the late Kachla and the late Aki Lapid and specialized in welding work. This is also where the "madness" began "The design of the Hanukkah in preparation for a competition held every year during the Hanukkah holiday.

At the end of the 1970s, he worked as a locksmith-welder in the Wasp furniture factory. He is considered by those in the know to be a master welder. For many days he managed the welding department and later learned to operate and put to work the first welding robot and the one after it. He was an active partner in the design department at the factory together with the late Aki Lapid and Shimon Karmi Yavdal. He built facilities to produce a certain item from the drawing to the first sample and then after the approval of the designers prepared a template for quantity production.. Later he got paid by operating a welding robot, received the new robot and was responsible for programming and preparation for the production of chairs, tables according to the needs and the order of production. Passed a quality control course and became the quality controller at the Tsara furniture factory at the same time as the welding department alongside Gideon Eshel. Upon completion of his position at Saraa Furniture, he returned to agricultural work for several years in the ornamental branch. As a singing enthusiast, he regularly sang in the choirs and singing groups of Mate Yehuda and even traveled with them on tour abroad. He was an artist in his own right. High level amateur photographer. He made and sculpted in iron and wood - home furniture, menorahs and more... shared a house with Roni for over three decades. These were years of blessed and respectful musical and social activity. In 1998, he joined the Union Choir as a full-fledged singer. In this framework he participated in many concerts throughout the country and the world. A cappella, with the best orchestras in Israel and even on several tours and festivals throughout Europe and South Korea. The Union Choir became his second home. He loved singing, loved his friends and they loved him. He couldn't be happier, for him it was a love story and a dream come true! He had time to sing with the choir in a concert (the first after two years of the corona epidemic), in the Tsava Hall on 04.30.2021, and a month later on 05.24.2021 he breathed his last and said goodbye to us. Haim was a happy, devoted, loving grandfather to his grandchildren Liron and a colleague of Limor's children. Yaron's daughter Maayan. Erez, Nir and Alon are the sons of Amir and Naomi. And also about Gal and Jordan and their daughters Alma and Amelia. Idan and Tamar and their children Kerem, Barry, Mitar (Daniel) and Neta. Dor and Sabetta, Yuval, Matan and Noa.

חיים נולד בשנת 1941 בתקופת המנדט הבריטי, להוריו פנינה וגבי (גבריאל) אדלר. הם גרו בדירת ארבעה חדרים עם עוד שלוש משפחות – חדר לכל משפחה. המקלחת והמטבח משותפים לכולם. בדירה זו חיו שש שנים בימי המנדט הבריטי. מידי פעם היה עוצר מצד הבריטים וחיילים בריטים או כפי שכונו "כלניות" עשו פטרולים ברחובות. כילד קטן החיילים אהבו אותו ונתנו לו להסתובב והעלימו עיין. השכנים ניצלו זאת ושלחו אותו לקניות במכולת הקרובה. אביו התקשה למצוא עבודה ולכן אמו נאלצה לפרנס את המשפחה כזמרת וכמתופפת בלהקת נשים שנגנה בבית קפה "פינתי" לבילוי הקצינים הבריטים. בהמשך התקבל אביו לעבודה בתנובה כמנהל מח' הדגים. לאחר שש שנים נולד אחיו שמעון ובאותה תקופה עברו לגור באחת הדירות שננטשו על ידי הערבים במהלך המלחמה על שחרור חיפה. שם גרו ביחד עם המשפחה של צבי, (האח של פנינה), אשתו ארנה ושלושת ילדיהם. כדורים התעופפו ברחובות והיו בדירה חדרים שהיה מסוכן להיכנס אליהם מחשש חדירת כדור תועה. כשהמלחמה הסתיימה נראו הערבים בורחים מהארץ וכילד היה עד לביזה המכוערת של היהודים את בתי הערבים. כשהתחיל ללמוד בכתה א' שנה לפני מלחמת השחרור שימש ביה"ס לעיתים לקליטת מעפילים שהוברחו מהספינות אל החוף בחסות החשכה ושוכנו בכיתות. כשהיו התלמידים מגיעים לביה"ס בבוקר, היו לומדים על הגג. בכיתה ב', מאי 1948 עם החלטת האו"ם על הקמת מדינת ישראל וסיום המנדט הבריטי, ביושבם על מרפסת בית הספר נראו עשרות מטוסים בריטים עוזבים את הארץ. המונים יצאו בריקודים ברחובות הריעו בשמחה גדולה.בהיותו בכיתה ו' התקבל לתזמורת הנוער חיפה, למד לנגן בחצוצרה והשתתף במצעדים וחגיגות של עיריית חיפה.בכתה ח' עברו הוריו לטבעון ושם התקבל מיד לתזמורת הנוער וזכה לנגן בחצוצרה את תרועת הנשיא עם הגעתו של הנשיא חיים וייצמן לביקור בטבעון.

עם התקרב מועד המעבר לבית ספר תיכון, גמלה החלטה בלבו וגם שכנע את הוריו ללמוד בתיכון חקלאי.חיים התקבל לבית ספר צעיר שזו לו שנתו השנייה – מחזור ב' של כפר גלים. בכתה י"ב יצא עם קבוצה מטעם ביה"ס לשנה של עבודה מעשית ולימודים בגבעת חיים איחוד, שם השתלב בענף הרפת.בשנת 1959 הגיע עם גרעין "להט" להשלמה בצרעה ומכאן התגייסו לנח"ל מוצנח.את תקופת השל"ת המאוחר העביר הגרעין בהכשרה בקיבוץ גבע. עם תום השרות הצבאי בשנת 1961 קבע את ביתו בצרעה עם חברי גרעין נוספים.נמנה על מקימי וזמרי הלהקה המקומית המיתולוגית "הצרעתרון" אשר הופיעה בכל אירועי התרבות בצרעה.בשנת 1963 נישא לאילנה ונולדו להם לימור, ירון ועמיר.לאחר 24 שנות נישואים נפרדו דרכם. שנות עבודה בצרעהבשנותיו בצרעה הספיק לעבוד ברפת, בדיר, במטעים ובבית האריזה בזכריה.בשנת 1967 התבקש ע"י מזכיר הקיבוץ ומנהלת ביה"ס לסייע בהעברת משק חי למקום חדש (היה עד שנסגר סופית). חיים הקים את הגדרות, הכלובים והדיר שהוקם עבור העיזים – הכל בעזרת ילדי ביה"ס. במקביל גידלו שטח של ירקות.מכאן עבר לאחזקת דירות ומסגריה לצד כצל'ה ז"ל ואקי לפיד ז"ל והתמחה בעבודות ריתוך. כאן גם החל "שגעון" עיצוב החנוכיות לקראת תחרות שהתקיימה מדי שנה בחג החנוכה.


מסוף שנות ה-70 השתלב כמסגר-רתך במפעל רהיטי צרעה. הוא נחשב בעיני מביני דבר לרתך אומן. ברבות הימים ניהל את מחלקת הריתוך ובהמשך למד לתפעל והכניס לעבודה את רובוט הריתוך הראשון וזה שאחריו. היה שותף פעיל במחלקת העיצוב במפעל ביחד עם אקי לפיד ז"ל ושמעון כרמי יבד"ל. בנה מתקנים לייצור פריט מסוים מהשרטוט ועד הדוגמה הראשונה ואז לאחר אישור המעצבים הכין תבנית לייצור כמויות.. מאוחר יותר השתלם בהפעלת רובוט ריתוך, קיבל את הרובוט החדש והיה אחראי על תכנות והכנה לייצור כסאות, שולחנות בהתאם לצרכים ולסדר הייצור.עבר קורס בקרת איכות והפך למבקר האיכות במפעל רהיטי צרעה במקביל למחלקת הריתוך לצד גדעון אשל. עם סיום תפקידו ברהיטי צרעה חזר למספר שנים לעבודה חקלאית במסגרת ענף הנוי. כחובב שירה, שר באופן קבוע במקהלות וחבורות זמר של מטה יהודה ואף נסע איתם לסיור בחו"ל. היה אמן בנפשו. צלם חובב ברמה גבוהה. ייצר ופיסל בברזל ובעץ – ריהוט לבית, חנוכיות ועוד...למעלה משלושה עשורים חלק בית משותף עם רוני. היו אלו שנים של פעילות מוזיקלית וחברתית ברוכה ומכבדת.בשנת 1998 הצטרף כזמר מן המניין למקהלת האיחוד. במסגרת זו השתתף בקונצרטים רבים ברחבי הארץ והעולם. א-קפלה, עם מיטב התזמורות בארץ ואף במספר סיורים ופסטיבלים ברחבי אירופה ובקוריאה הדרומית. מקהלת האיחוד הפכה לביתו השני. הוא אהב את השירה, אהב את החברים והם אהבו אותו. לא היה מאושר ממנו, עבורו היה זה סיפור אהבה והגשמת חלום! הספיק לשיר עם המקהלה בקונצרט (הראשון אחרי שנתיים של מגפת הקורונה), באולם צוותא ביום 30.04.2021, וחודש לאחר מכן ביום 24.05.2021 נשם את נשימתו האחרונה ונפרד מאתנו. חיים היה סבא מאושר, מסור, אוהב ואהוב על נכדיו לירון ועמית ילדיה של לימור. מעיין בתו של ירון. ארז, ניר ואלון בניהם של עמיר ונעמי. וגם על גל וירדן ובנותיהן עלמה ועמליה. עידן ותמר וילדיהם כרם, בארי, מיתר (דניאל) ונטע. דור וסבטה, יובל, מתן ונועה.
